PhD course in Protein Crystallography 2009 

We look forward to meet you all on Monday 12/1-09.

You are all to turn up at 9:00 am at

Auditorium 9, HC  Ørsteds Institutet,  Universitetsparken 5, DK-2100 Kbh Ø

When you arrive, you will receive your course folder, and the first lecture from 9:15 to 10:00 will be an introduction to the course including practical matters. The two week course are mainly scheduled so you will have lectures from 9 – 12 and practical work from 13 – 17.

For the people that brings their own sample, we will be ready at Auditorium 9 Monday morning to receive you sample for storage at -80⁰C, -20⁰C C or 4⁰C.

Remember to bring your lab coat for the course.

PhD course in Protein Crystallography 2009

Weeks 3 & 5 January 2009  (12/1 - 16/1 & 26/1 - 30/1)

The course is aimed at Ph.D. students and postdocs who work within a field where protein structures are a source of information. The intention of the course is to enable the participants to validate three dimensional structures of proteins and the information that can be extracted from them. The course is comprised of a theoretical part, which will cover most elements of X-ray macromolecular crystallography and a practical part with hands-on practicals on protein crystallization and analysis and validation of structural information. For the practical part we encourage participants to bring their own proteins.

On site teaching will take place in weeks 3 and 5, while participants will be given individual coursework to do at home in week 4.

Recommended ETCS Point for the course: 10.

Course Fee: Academia 4000 DKK, Industry 7000 DKK
