The Nobel Crystal ball

Who will win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2017?
Who will wear the laurels?

Five scientists from the Department of Chemistry at UCPH try their hand at fortune telling shortly before the Nobel committees in Stockholm reveal the identity of this year's Nobel laureate in Chemistry.

Each speaker will nominate one chemist of international renown. In an 8-minute presentation, the speaker will motivate the nomination, explaining which breakthrough deserves the honor.

As presentations conclude, the audience will vote: Who presented the most persuasive argument? Who deserves the laurels? So bring your smartfone, tablet or laptop to cast your vote.

A few days later, there will be bragging rights to the speaker who predicted the actual winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in chemistry.

The presentations will be given in easy-to-understand English.
