CHEM Talks: Thomas Just Sørensen
“Chemistry is fun! ...but we need to tell everyone”.
Chemistry and nanoscience are not the most popular topics in school and university. Nobody knows what nanoscience is, as the concept has gone out of fashion. Everybody knows chemistry, but as a negative concept. This has to change, and to do so I have involved myself in four initiatives aimed at making sure that nanoscience and chemistry are known to all to be both fun and awesome. I will go through each initiative and show that there is an audience ready to receive the message that chemistry is fun. I will be talking about podcasts, social media, science as an after-school activity, and games.
