Applying organic synthesis to the real world
"I have throughout my career always been interested in applying chemistry to problems from the real world and this had been highly inspiring in my research. I will present a couple of real-world cases in my talk ranging from using dendrimers in diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular disease to finding new antibiotics - all based on a solid knowledge of organic synthesis. I will also discuss some of the dangers you can encounter in the real world."
